dawn on

If a fact or idea dawns on you, you realize it. This is an idiom.

drop in

If you drop in on someone (or a class), you visit them informally, usually without having arranged it.

Steve dropped in on a calligraphy class.


drop out

If you drop out of college (university) or high school, you leave it without finishing what you started.

Example: She dropped out of high school after her second year.

Also can be a a noun: a college dropout, a high school dropout.
